For those who wish to park at Burbank Bob Hope Airport, there are three basic options to choose from: Economy, Short Term or Valet. Short Term Parking costs more daily, while Valet Parking is split into three different services. Gold Valet is like a regular valet parking service, while Platinum Valet includes concierge skycap service and extra quick vehicle retrieval, and Black Diamond Valet gives you a reserved, partitioned parking space every day of the year.
BUR Airport Guide
With over 4.5 million passengers traveling through its terminals in 2010, Burbank Bob Hope Airport is growing fast. Located in Burbank, California, the airport serves the city of Burbank along with other major cities in the Los Angeles area, such as Glendale, Pasadena, Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley.
Despite undergoing several name changes (Angeles Mesa, United, Union Air Terminal, Hollywood Burbank Airport and Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport, to name a few), the airport has always been closer to downtown Los Angeles than LAX. As the only airport with a direct rail connection to downtown LA, Burbank Airport is frequented by a large number of residents on the East Side of Los Angeles.
Whether you’re coming from the north or south, access BUR by taking the I-5 North or South. If you’re traveling east or west, find a way to connect to I-134 or I-210, then take it to I-5, where you’ll exit onto San Fernando Blvd, then follow signs to the airport. If public transportation is more you’re style, you’re in luck – Burbank Airport is the only LA airport with its own train station. Link up flights with Metrolink and Amtrak, or take the Metro Bus or City of Burbank bus, which connects to downtown Burbank and the Metro Red Line in North Hollywood.
Burbank Bob Hope Airport offers nonstop flights to Denver, Portland, Dallas and New York. There are two terminals, divided among the airlines that fly out of the airport: US Airways, JetBlue, American, Alaska Airlines, Southwest, Skywest (Delta Connection) and United Express. Terminal A and B are joined together as part of the same building, with JetBlue, Southwest and US Airways flying out of gates in Terminal A, and Alaska, American, Delta Connection and United Express flying out of Terminal B gates.
