Parking at O’Hare is easy with short-term hourly parking on Level 1 and long-term Daily Parking on Levels 2 through 6, as well as valet parking. All on-site airport parking is just a short walk to Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Additionally, there is a separate Lot D for those who need long term parking for international flights, and two Economy Lots, E and F, respectively. The Kiss ‘n’ Fly and Cell Phone lots offer short term parking for those dropping off or picking up arriving passengers.

Chicago O’Hare International Airport – which served Chicago and the Chicagoland area – is one of the busiest airports in the world, ranking third with over 66 million passengers passing through its gates in 2010. It’s not just a busy place: while there are flights to over 60 international destinations, O’Hare has been voted “Best Airport in North America†by Business Traveler Magazine and Global Traveler Magazine for over a decade.
Located 17 miles outside the Chicago Loop, O’Hare is easy to access from the highway. Passengers can reach O’Hare via I-190 near the I-294 and I-90 interchange, or I-90/94 northwest from downtown Chicago. In terms of public transit, the Blue Line of the Chicago ‘L’ train and CTA Orange Line both go directly to the airport. Commuter trains for Metra North Central Service also stop at the O’Hare Transfer station, which is connected to the Airport Transit System.
O’Hare currently serves as the primary hub for United Airlines and as a major hub for American Airlines. Of the four terminals at O’Hare, international flights for air carriers such as AeroMexico, Air France, British Airways, KLM Royal Dutch, Korean Air, and Virgin Atlantic all go through Terminal 5. United Airlines and United Express handle flights at Terminal 1, along with departures from ANA and Lufthansa. Terminal 2 hosts airlines such as Air Canada, Delta, JetBlue Airways, and US Airways. Terminal 3 is home to American Airlines, Alaska, American Eagle, and Spirit Airlines, as well as departures for Iberia and JAL.
To get around O’Hare, take the Airport Transit System (ATS), a free 24-hour rail system that operates between all the terminals, long term parking, and Metra station. Spanning 2.7 miles, it only takes nine minutes to transverse the entire loop.Resources/Helpful Links

- Additionally, Chicago ORD has a convenient Kiss ‘n’ Fly lot to help passengers avoid airport traffic. Take the International Terminal exit to Bessie Coleman Drive and get on the airport shuttle to arrive at your terminal.
- O’Hare provides preferred parking spaces for hybrid vehicles. Look for the signs located throughout surface parking lots.
- O’Hare Airport offers power stations with AC outlets and counter space for travelers who need to recharge electronic devices such as cell phones and laptops.
