CMH Airport Guide One of the busiest airports in Ohio, Port Columbus International Airport (CMH) has ample service to over 30 destinations across the country, including Atlanta, Denver, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC, as well as international flights to Toronto and Cancun. With over 6 million passengers flying in and out of Port Columbus in 2010, the airport services Columbus and surrounding areas in central Ohio. Port Columbus Airport is conveniently located near Interstates 270 and 670 to provide easy access to the surrounding area. The airport is approximately 25 minutes from downtown Columbus by car. Travelers can opt to get around using Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) buses that serve the airport. The airport was once a small hub for America West Airlines, but that operation was dismantled in the early 2000s. The Columbus, Ohio airport was also the base for short-lived low-cost carrier Skybus. While the airport is no longer a focus city for any airline, Columbus still has a healthy level of air service from airlines like AirTran Airways, American, Frontier, Southwest, Delta, US Airways and United. Port Columbus International Airport features one main terminal with three concourses:
  • Continental and Southwest (the largest carrier at Columbus) use Concourse A
  • Flights on Air Canada, American, Frontier, United, and US Airways depart from Concourse B
  • Concourse C sees flights from AirTran and Delta
