In addition, the airport’s close location to Interstates 29 and 435 allow passengers to easily access the surrounding area. The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (the Metro) also operates a route from the airport to downtown. Kansas City offers flight service across North America to major destinations like Chicago, New York, Detroit, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Puerto Vallarta and Toronto. Southwest, Delta, and Frontier are largest airlines at MCI (with Frontier acting as a hub at Kansas City International), but other major carriers like Air Canada, American, and US Airways also serve the airport. MCI Airport has three terminals, each compromising the shape of three rings:
