Airport parking onsite at LAS provides several options. The Long Term Parking Garage offers plenty of space, while the Economy Parking lot offers even more space at a cheaper rate. Courtesy shuttles take passengers from the Economy Parking to the Zero Level of Terminal 1. Terminal 2 Parking has 270 spaces in an uncovered lot. Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS) is the principal airport for the city of Las Vegas, Nevada and surrounding areas in Clark County. Located about five miles from the central business district in Paradise, Nevada, McCarran Airport saw over 39 million passengers in 2010 pass through its gates. Even more impressive is that due to Nevada gambling laws, there are over 1,200 slot machines you can play at throughout the airport terminals. Who says you have to go to a casino to get lucky?
McCarran Airport is conveniently located by the I-215 and I-15. To get to LAS airport, exit off I-215 and follow signs for McCarran. If you need public transportation, the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) offers routes from the airport to downtown Las Vegas and other parts of the city. Shuttles, limos and taxis are also available.
While major airlines such as America, Alaska, Virgin America, US Airways, United, Delta, Frontier, AirTran, JetBlue and all fly out of Las Vegas McCarran, the airport is specifically a focus city for Southwest Airlines and Allegiant Air. In fact, LAS airport is the largest base of operations for Southwest flights. Other major air carriers that fly to domestic and international destinations include WestJet, Air Canada, Aeromexico Condor, Philippine Airlines, Thomas Cook, Sun Country, Virgin America and Spirit Airlines.
Las Vegas McCarran International Airport is divided into two terminals. Terminal 1 handles most flights, with four concourses:
- Concourse A is utilized solely by US Airways
- Concourse B is served by Great Lakes, Spirit, Virgin America, WestJet, and Southwest
- Concourse C is only used by Southwest Airlines
- Concourse D handles other air carriers like AirTran, Alaska, Allegiant, American, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Sun County and United
