The Premier parking option is the most expensive, but is also the closest to the airport and boasts priority security screening at the airport. The Hourly and Daily airport parking lots are a bit cheaper, and while they are a bit farther from the airport, they are still within walking distance of the terminal. Oakland International Airport (OAK) is one of the three airports that provide service to California’s Bay Area (the others are San Francisco and San Jose). Interstate 880 provides easy access to the airport, the city of Oakland and the surrounding area, as well as connect to bridges that cross over into San Francisco and San Mateo. Public transportation services include AirBART and AC Transit buses, which provide (paid) service to a nearby Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station. From here, you can easily access downtown San Francisco and other parts of the Bay Area. Southwest Airlines is the largest carrier at Oakland Airport, with over 100 daily departures to 19 cities. There is extensive service to destinations in the West, though connections to the rest of the country are made easy with Southwest flights to cities like Chicago (Midway), Denver, and Phoenix. Domestic service is also provided by Alaska (and sister airline Horizon), Delta, JetBlue, United, and US Airways, while Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines provide service to multiple Hawaiian destinations from Oakland. In terms of international flights, Volaris, now partnered with Southwest, flies to Mexico, while SATA has seasonal service to the Azores. Oakland Airport has two terminals two navigate, which are connected post-security.
