Long term Pittsburgh Airport parking is also available at the airport. Passengers can choose Long Term or Extended parking, with the latter being the most economical lot for travelers leaving for a longer period of time. For those parking in Long Term, there’s easy access to the Moving Walkway to take you inside the Landside Terminal, while Extended Parking offers a free, continuous shuttle service to and from the airport.
PIT Airport Guide
Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) serves the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and surrounding areas, including neighboring states such as Ohio, New York, Virginia and West Virginia. Located in Findley Township roughly 16 miles west of downtown Pittsburgh, the airport accommodates over fourteen million travelers per year flying to 37 destinations, both domestic and international.
No matter which direction you’re coming from, to reach the airport, head for I-376 West until you reach Airport Exit 53. If you’re taking public transportation, you can access the airport using the West Busway from the Port Authority of Alleghany County.
Pittsburgh Airport is served by twelve commercial air carriers, including major domestic airlines such as American and United. While US Airways has a long history with the airport, it is no longer uses the airport as a hub, having scaled backed operations to make it a focus city. PIT Airport also serves international airlines and flights, including nonstop service to Paris via Delta Air Lines.
There are four concourses, A through D, at Pittsburgh Airport:
- Concourse A is used mainly by Southwest Airlines.
- Concourse B is utilized solely by US Airways.
- Concourse C is home to JetBlue, United Airlines, Air Canada, AirTran Airways, and flights for airline partners Skywest and United Express.
- Concourse D is served by Frontier Airlines, Delta, Continental, American Airlines and American Eagle.
