If you’re looking for other long term airport parking options, the garage at T.F. Green Airport has several choices. The Daily Garage, comprised of Garages, A, B and C, are located adjacent to the Terminal Building at various rates depending on your stay. Short Term Lot D is convenient for short term parking and picking up or dropping off passengers. Long Term Express Lot E is south of the terminal and offers economy rates, with continuous shuttle service to the PVD terminal building. Additionally, all of the shuttle buses used in the PVD airport parking fleet use environmentally friendly alternative fuel, running on compressed natural gas.
PVD Airport GuideProvidence T.F. Green Airport (PVD), located in Warwick, Rhode Island, serves Providence, the state of Rhode Island, and the surrounding New England region. With over 3.8 million passengers passing through its gates in 2011, PVD airport is about six miles south of Providence and underwent a complete overhaul in 1996. In addition to Worcester and Manchester airports, T.F. Green is considered a reliever airport for flight traffic coming into Boston Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts.
Conveniently located close to Providence and nearby to Newport, Cape Cod and Boston, T.F. Green Airport is one mile off I-95 at the end of Exit 13. Those who prefer public transport can take one of several options. InterLink (previously known as the Intermodal Facility) connects multiple forms of transportation right by the airport. The MBTA Commuter rail service running between South Station in Boston and downtown Providence has extended service to the airport, while the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) has bus service throughout Rhode Island. Furthermore, you can reach other parts of Rhode Island like Narragansett and Block Island by taking ferries from the airport.
Despite its size, Providence Airport offers a number of nonstop flight opportunities to cities around the country, such as Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Chicago. The most number of flights in and out of PVD belong to Southwest, but other major airlines at Providence Airport include United (currently merging with Continental and Continental Express), Delta and US Airways. The airport also has international flights to Toronto via Air Canada, as well as seasonal flights to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket through Cape Air. PVD airport has one main terminal (divided into North and South areas) for checking in, going through security, and claiming checked luggage.
